They’re still grippy, but it looks much slicker. On the V2, there’s less separation, and with raised, pimpled portions on the panel instead. The Deathadder Elite has segmented thumb rests on either side of the mouse, with edges that clearly separate them from the rest of the side panel.

I don't want full replacement, the shipping cost to their tech center is like twice of the value of the device itself.Next, the material. They just give you links with their download, FAQ (as in "f'uck you" ) pages, then offer full replacement, etc. Impossible to get past these random, Tier 1 Çhinks, to reach an engineer at least. To no avail, in both cases, some random, non technical Çhinks were designated for support. Side note, i've tried to email them, loads of times, just as i did with Logitech, for the Mercury firmware. Personally, i hate to see a $100 device to be built of lesser quality components than the lower brand competition has, but it's up to personal taste, of course. If one doesn't mind the coarse mold, then it's of good quality. but i think, now that same plastic type and coarse mold is becoming somewhat of a standard, the plastic is of low density for sure, and some vendors apparently choose to make a light build by opting for this garbage of plastic. anyways, i bought it bundled with the Goliathus Control at a fragment of the DAs selling price. It goes now into the "who gives a sh'it" category. So for now, it's a, your DA Elite, how does it's build quality feel ? Mine has creaky plastic, feels soft to pressure in the middle, and i can feel the plastic below the palm zone moving when click the main buttons.

I remember clearly, a couple of years back i did download the whole collection of DA 3G firmwares from their very site. On the other hand, ALL the firmwares were removed from their download site, even the old ones for the first DA models, etc. Some non technical personnel that answers casually, and even then, canned replies. And the original was 1.2 so there had been for sure a few in-between.Īfter a lengthy (2 weeks +) correspondence with their support i came to conclusion they don't give a flying fck about their customers, just gave me copy pasted answers about calibrating the sensor, holding down the left and right mouse buttons (soft reset), etc. but they did release firmware updaters now and then, this is how i got the 1.5 version. It's about 99% probable they made sure it won't be possible to extract.

Came to conclusion their support is worth jack squat, some non technical person is assigned to offer formal "support" (useless).Īttaching the v1.5 firmware updater for Deathadder Elite for anyone who would need it.ĬAUTION: DO NOT UPDATE to this version, UNLESS you have the accidental double clicking issue ! Took up correspondence with Razer support, asked them for firmware download links to test, they suggested everything, mousepad surface calibration, changing to a different USB port, all copy-paste answers found on their FAQ page. Can be useful for those who have the double click issue due to poor switch quality. Unfortunately this adds a very high click lag, doesn't improve the sensor tracking in any ways.

Made the mistake to update it's firmware to 1.5.0 found after a lot of googling around. Poor build quality, nothing special about the sensor either, i'm not sure it lives up to it's name. Recently i acquired the DA Elite, to evaluate the 3389 mostly, found the whole device under par, to be honest. I'm looking for the original v1.2.0.1 or any other previous firmware version of the Deathadder Elite, if anyone has it, please make it available for download.
